Answers to common questions about PowerBack, our camera battery backpack system for handheld and gimbal filmmaking.

A camera battery backpack is a wearable power system that moves your camera’s batteries, video transmitters, and other accessories off the camera rig and onto your back. Instead of stacking heavy batteries directly on the camera or gimbal, you carry that weight on a harness and feed power to the camera through a cable — for a lighter, better-balanced rig for handheld and gimbal work.
PowerBack straps on like a backpack and holds one or two battery plates (V-Lock, Gold Mount, or B-Mount) that power your camera, monitor, and video transmitter through a single cable. A quick-release system lets you detach the camera and backplate in seconds, and a built-in display shows battery voltage and charge level.
Handheld operators, gimbal operators, documentary and ENG crews, and sports and live-event camera teams — anyone who needs hours of untethered runtime without adding bulk to the camera itself.
PowerBack is available in 12V and 24V configurations. The 12V plate works with V-Lock or Gold Mount batteries and outputs 12V (unregulated) from every socket. The 24V plate is built for 24V B-Mount batteries, outputting 24V (unregulated) for camera power and a regulated 15V/100W from accessory sockets.
